Tunisia: Sopat’s debt increases by 34%.

The analysis of the quarterly activity indicators of Belkhiria Group’s SOPHAT Company as at 31/03/2020 showed that the production of meat and derivatives reached 4,403 tons with an increase of 23% compared to the production achieved in the first quarter of 2019.

The turnover of meat and derivatives sales in the first quarter of 2020 is almost equal to the one realized during the same period of the previous year.

This is explained by the decrease in sales prices compared to the first quarter 2019.

However, the SOPAT’s debt increased by 34% compared to the first quarter 2019. This rise is due to bank loans to deploy the previous year’s investment program.

Bank management credits were down 13% compared to the first quarter 2019.
