The “SOCIETE TUNISIENNE DES INDUSTRIES DE PNEUMATIQUE” (STIP) indicators turned green in 2018.
The figures published by the tire manufacturer thus reflect a clear recovery compared to the previous year.
In fact, at the end of the year ended December 31, 2018, the company more than doubled its overall turnover to reach 59.2 million dinars against 28.6 million at the same date a year earlier.
This strong growth concerned both local turnover and exports. Thus, revenues from the local market reached 52.4 million dinars, up 100%, while the export turnover was 6.8 million dinars, up 166%.
Similarly, annual production rose by 55%, from 3,622 tons at the end of December 2017 to 5,600 tons at December 31.
It should be noted that the company did not disclose the level of its bank commitments at the end of 2018. The latter amounted to 204 million dinars as of December 31, 2017.
