Tunisia: tourism revenues rise 6%

Tourism revenues have risen by 6% year-on-year compared to last season with a 30% increase in the number of overnight stays, Minister of Tourism Moez Belhassine said on Wednesday.

He added, during a trip to the South, that a service has been established to deal with Saharan and oasis tourism, since the previous season.

He also stressed that the Ministry continues to work on a plan intended to restore the image of Tunisian tourism after the COVID-19 crisis.

The Minister of Tourism, on the other hand, stressed the importance of festivals and rallies to revive tourism in the region and to attract investment.
