Tunisia: Tunisair reports 43% increase in turnover in Q1

Tunisair has achieved a turnover estimated at 170 MTD during the first quarter of 2012, up 43% compared to the same period of 2011 (118 MTD).

According to the assessment of activity of the company, published on the website of the Financial Market Council (CMF), the revenues of transport by category are generated essentially by the regular activity (154.728 MTD).

The national carrier, which accounts for 45.1% of the national air transport market, has provided transport to about 673,000 passengers during the same period, representing an increase of 50% compared with the first quarter of 2011 with a filling capacity estimated at 68.4%.

According to the same quarterly activity indicators, the company recorded a 51% growth in all the traffic it provides as fuel prices increased by an average of 15% compared to Q1 of 2011.
