Tunisair has just published its business indicators for the first quarter of the financial year 2025.

The national carrier recorded a 4% decrease in the number of passengers carried, which reached 495 thousand passengers, compared to 516 thousand passengers at the end of March 2024.

However, the company’s revenues increased slightly by 1.2% to 323.4 million dinars, compared to revenues of around 319 million dinars last year. Average revenue per passenger rose from 464 to 485 dinars (+4.5%).

In the first quarter of 2025, fuel costs were 19% lower than in the first quarter of 2024, due to a 9.1% decrease in volume and an 11.7% decrease in unit price.

Aircraft rentals increased by 19% to 27.8 million dinars in the first three months of the year due to an increase in one-off charters.

Despite a 9% reduction in the workforce due to retirements, personnel costs increased by 4% to 53 million dinars as a result of statutory salary increases.

In addition, debt was reduced by 18% following the repayment of outstanding loans, while liquidity improved by 11%.
