Tunisia: unsubsidized, liter of petrol will rise to 3200 millimes in 2026

Among the major reforms that will be launched during the period 2022-2024, a document published by the Ministry of Finance mentions that fuel subsidies will be progressively withdrawn in order to achieve true prices by 2026.

An energy source told AfricanManager that Tunisia orders the quantities of crude oil it wants to buy three months before their delivery by suppliers, at the price then prevailing on the market.

In the meantime, a series of increases dictated by pipeline transport and refining operations, in addition to various taxes imposed on different varieties of fuel, are added.

In the end, the same source calculates, the price per liter would be sold at around 3200 millimes after lifting subsidy by 2026.
