Exports of fisheries and aquaculture products reached 12.1 tons, valued at about 247 million dinars (MD).
These exports increased by 6% in quantity and 40% in value, reports MosaiqueFm.
The trade balance recorded a surplus of 145 MD against 92 MD in the same period of 2016.
Fishery and aquaculture production amounted to about 72 thousand tons in the first seven months of 2017 compared to 71 thousand tons in the same period of 2016.
Blue fish production posted a surplus of about 21%.
According to the same source, aquaculture declined slightly by 9 thousand tons in the first seven months of 2017, against 9.2 thousand tons in the same period in 2016.
