Tunisia: very good agreement for agribusiness

SOGEMI, the company that manages the agri-food wholesale markets of Milan, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Consulate General of Tunisia to promote trade relations between the capital of Lombardy and Tunis and to develop the exchange of food products.

The agreement with the Tunisian consulate is part of the growth and development project aimed at transforming the market into a strategic agro-food hub for the entire supply chain.

The agreement also aims to foster the commercial relations between the various wholesalers, producers and sellers present on the agri-food market in Milan and the Tunisian operators in the sector, with the common goal of strengthening their respective agri-food excellence and developing trade.

“I am very satisfied with this agreement which makes our market the main destination of Tunisia’s rich agri-food production.

In our programs, we expect a strong expansion of international import-export activities and the conclusion of numerous collaborative agreements with the main geographical areas of production or consumption of food products, “said SOGEMI President Cesare Ferrero.

The Milanese market is one of the leading European companies in the fresh food trade, playing an important role in the import of products from all over the world and in the development of the export of Italian fresh quality products to European and non-European areas.
