About US$107.3 million was invested in the Angolan diamo nd sector between 2005 and 2009 by the state-run diamond company, Endiama and De Beers (Endeb), PANA reported on Thursday.
According to figures from the firms, the amount was invested in Lunda Nordeste p roject and diamond prospecting areas of Lunda-Norte province.
The project is constituted in association and participation by Endiama (51 per c ent) and De Beers (49 per cent). During the five years under review, the firm di s covered 108 diamond fields.
The two-stage project will be extended for four more years.
