The “3C Etudes” Institute of market research and opinion polling recently announced its acquisition of French Company “Actudes Interviews.”
It is a subsidiary of BVA, the French opinion polls company. Credited with a market share of 5% on the Tunisian market of studies and opinion polls, “3C Etudes” hopes to boost its own market share, through the acquisition of a subsidiary of one of the largest French companies in the sector.
In this context, Hichem Guerfali, Director General of the “3C Etudes” gives us some clarification on the activities of the institute and the purpose of purchase of the subsidiary.

What are the activities of the 3C Etudes Institute?
First, the “3C Etudes” Institute was established in 2002, it is based in Tunis and operates on domestic and international markets by conducting qualitative and quantitative studies in CATI “Computer Assisted Telephone Interview,” in CAWI “Computer Assisted Web interview “or face to face. It has been present for ten years in the French market and five years on the rest of Europe. It operates as an institute of studies in full service in Tunisia, North Africa, Middle East and Africa.
We have skills and strong motivation of human resources. The Institute also offers a highly qualified management, consisting of fifteen people from French Grandes Ecoles with practical work experience in the private sector of studies in France as advertisers.
This institute is the sixth institution to obtain approval from the French polling commission to conduct surveys in the French presidential elections of 2007. We are committed to meet the requirements of our customers, including the principle of orientation, professionalism, transparency and innovation.
What are the areas of intervention of “3C Etudes”?
The institute operates in several areas such as food, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, retail distribution, banking and insurance, transport, ICT, broadcasting and politics. It has a management team of 16 people, a hundred investigators on CATI and a score in face to face.
Similarly, it operates as an institute of studies in full service in Tunisia, North Africa, Middle East and Africa as a field study company for the French market and some Western and Eastern European countries.
What is the purpose of acquisition of the new Paris subsidiary of BVA?
We expect from this acquisition increased efficiency and considerable improvement of our market share in France. Our customers will continue of course to enjoy the same level of quality. We are very proud to acquire “Actudes Interviews” the Paris subsidiary of BVA, which is the third polling institute in France.
Actually, we did not want to reveal this acquisition before being certain that the transfer is successful. In addition, we are very happy and ambitious, because the situation in Tunisia has evolved, providing pollsters the opportunity to freely perform their investigations, without wanting to influence their results
What is the specific vocation of “Actudes Interviews?
“Actudes Interviews”, is a subsidiary of BVA, the French opinion polls company.
Generally credited with a market share of 5% on the Tunisian studies market and opinion polls, “3C Etudes” hopes to boost its own market share by the acquisition of a subsidiary of one of the largest French companies in the sector.
It has 200 investigators face to face with more than 5 years seniority, supervised by a dozen field officials in all the French regions and a tray of phone calls in Montreuil with 50 positions and five supervisors, but also a management of great experience.
“Interviews Actudes” has strengths that allow it to meet the challenge launched by “3C Etudes” in 2008, namely appearing in the top 5 of the marketing research sector in the next ten years. The new group, consisting of two poles present on both sides of the Mediterranean, is called to occupy a prominent place in the world of market research and polling.”
