Tunisia: ADWYA sees 8% decrease in turnover at end September

ADWYA has just published its activity indicators for the 3rd quarter of 2020, during which the turnover has decreased by 23% compared to the same period of 2019 due to a big slump in antibiotics sales, due to the absence of pathology and the level of stocks at wholesalers.

Over the first nine months of the year, the turnover at the end of September decreased compared to that of 2019 by 8% to 64.2 million dinars, mainly due to the effect of the decline in turnover of products “under license” by about 20%, or 7.8 million dinars, and that of the “processing” activity by 44%, or 375 thousand dinars.

However, the sales of generic and hospital products saw a growth of +1% and +62%, respectively, compared to 2019, or 1.3 million dinars.

The export turnover recorded a growth of +1.1 million dinars.

In addition, investments reached 2.4 million dinars at the end of September, mainly for the renewal of industrial equipment and tools.

The total outstanding debt at the end of September amounted to 28.3 million dinars, compared to 24.3 million dinars at the end of December 2019.
