Tunisia: ASSAD reports net loss of 3 million dinars in H1

The Tunisian Accumulator ASSAD has published its interim financial statements ended June 30, 2021. These statements show a net loss of 3 million dinars, against a loss of 1.8 million dinars at the end of June 2020.

ASSAD achieved revenues of 41 million dinars, at the end of the first six months of the year, compared to 43.7 million a year earlier, down 6%.

These revenues came from local sales to the tune of 16 million dinars and export sales for 25 million dinars.

As for operating expenses, they have virtually stagnated to 42 million dinars, against 42.7 million at the end of June 2020.

These expenses are mainly composed of purchases of supplies consumed for 29.6 million dinars and personnel expenses for 8.3 million dinars.

To this end, the operating result comes out in deficit of 460 thousand dinars, against an operating surplus of 1.2 million dinars in the first half of last year.

The Extraordinary General Assembly of September 17, 2021 decided to increase the company’s share capital from 12 to 24 million dinars and this, through the incorporation of reserves for an amount of 12 million dinars and the issuance of 12 million new free shares with a nominal value of 1 dinar each.
