Banks’ needs for liquidity increased again in April 2015 for the second consecutive month, bringing the BCT monetary policy operations to 4,985 MTD on average, up 1,071 MTD, reaching the highest level since the beginning of the year, according to the monthly report of the BCT published Thursday.
This trend is due to the restrictive effect exerted by net foreign currency reserves and the current treasury account during that month.
