Tunisia: BNA Bank increases its NBI by 14% to 251 million dinars in Q1

Banque Nationale Agricole (BNA Bank) achieved a net banking income of 251.2 million dinars in the first quarter of the current year, compared with 221 million dinars at the end of March 2002, an increase of 13.6%.

In fact, the bank increased its banking operating income by 27% to 529 million dinars, compared to 416 million dinars a year earlier. Operating expenses increased by 83 million dinars (+42%) from 195 million dinars to 278 million dinars.

The commercial securities portfolio increased from 7 million dinars to 174.7 million dinars between March 2022 and March 2023, mainly as a result of new subscriptions to Treasury bills.

Outstanding loans to customers, net of provisions and reserved agios, reached 13,920 million dinars at 31 March 2023, compared to 13,323 million dinars at the end of March 2022, registering a growth of 4.5%.

Customer deposits will increase by 866 million dinars between March 2022 and March 2023, or by 8.6%, to reach 10,953 million dinars.
