Tunisia’s food balance ended the first quarter of 2014 with a deficit of 54.6%, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines.
The rate of coverage of food industries’ imports by exports reached 45.4%
During the same period in 2013, the rate of coverage of imports by exports reached 76%, i.e. a food balance deficit of 24%.
