The 9th forum “ITC4ALL” will be organized from November 16 to 19, 2015 in Hammamet and will focus on the theme of “electronic transition.”
It will also discuss the methods to be adopted to ensure successful transition from a traditional economy to an economy based on innovation through the use of new communication technologies.
In anticipation of this event, Nooman Fehri, Minister of the Communication Technology and Digital Economy stated at a press conference that despite the progress made in Tunisia in terms of ICT, regional disparities persist regarding access to information and communication technology, particularly in some Arab countries “which are lagging behind in investment projects in high-speed networks and access to the Internet.”
“The Hammamet forum will be an opportunity for all partners, governments, international organizations, civil society, private sector, academia and business to make an objective assessment of the ICT sector and propose initiatives to improve it in the long term” , said the minister.
An exhibition will be organized on the sidelines of the forum to enable national and international companies to promote their products and to share expertise.
The forum program also includes workshops, lectures on several topics related to technology, including the issue of digital divide in African countries.
