Tunisia: projected growth rate cut to 2.6

Tunisia has cut its GDP growth forecast for 2021 to 2.6 percent, down from a previous forecast of 4 percent, according to an official document seen by Reuters.

According to the latest projections, the budget deficit will reach 8.3% in 2021, up from a previous forecast of 6.6%, the same source said.

The document adds that the debt ratio will reach 85.6 percent of GDP by the end of the year, up from 79.5 percent previously forecast.

It shows that fuel subsidies have increased from $138 million earlier this year to $1.15 billion.
