Tunisia: UNIMED increases its turnover by 40% to TND 136 million in 2023

The year 2023 saw spectacular growth in the performance indicators of the UNIMED Company, which managed to increase its turnover by 41% to reach TND 136 million and its level of production by 27%.
Good governance, reflected in a commercial strategy and a sustained pace of investment and growth, have allowed the company, which employs 770 employees, to achieve these levels of performance.
This commercial performance is achieved thanks to the strong growth in exports of 16% to reach TND 63.6 million on December 31, 2023, compared to TND 54.7 million at the same date in 2022, as well as the increase in off-the-shelf sales of 5%.
Production in units (ampoules, vials, syringes, pouches) amounts to 266 million units, thus showing a 27% increase compared to December 31, 2022.
Investments (intangible and tangible) made in 2023 amounted to TND 12.2 million, in accordance with the company’s planned expansion investment plan.
In addition, the value of long-term debt stands at TND 22.1 million, a decrease of 13% compared to December 31, 2022.
Short-term debt amounted to TND 22.1 million and consisted of maturities of less than one year on bank loans for TND 7.9 million and on leasing loans for 0.3 million, as well as management loans for TND 13.9 million, a decrease of 2% compared to December 31, 2022.
