The Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) will hold its National Council meeting next April 26, 2012, UTICA Chairwoman Wided Bouchamaoui said.
During a press conference held Wednesday in Tunis, Mrs. Bouchamaoui pointed out that the national council (highest body in UTICA), which brings together 250 representatives, has the legal powers to set the date of the UTICA National Congress.
She said that 17 regional unions, out of 24, have been renewed, adding that this process will end next April 19.
“The election process took place in transparent conditions,” underlined Mrs. Bouchamaoui, adding that two women have been elected at the head of regional unions.
