Tunisie Autoroute, Monétique Tunisie and BTE sign partnership agreement

A partnership agreement between Tunisie Autoroute, Monétique Tunisie (SMT) and Banque de Tunisie et des Emirats (BTE) was signed on Thursday at the headquarters of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

Under the terms of the agreement, Tunisie Autoroute has signed up to the Paysmart program, which will allow its customers to top up their electronic tolling cards via the Paysmart application, which can be accessed at www.paysmart.tn.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Sarra Zaafrani, Minister of Public Works, Marouane Abassi, Governor of the BCT, and several executives from Tunisie Autoroute and its partners in the programme.

In her speech, the Minister highlighted the role of Tunisie Autoroute, which she described as “the pride of the Tunisian state”, and pointed out that the company had already implemented the modernized tolling system.

The Minister also thanked the executives of the BCT and the SMT, as well as the BTE, for their efforts to ensure the success of this programme, which will encourage road users to adopt electronic toll collection.

For his part, Mr Abassi stressed the importance of continuing the process of digitalisation and the use of new technologies.
