Tunisia: BH Bank announces H1 NBI of more than TND 314 million

BH Bank’s net banking income increased by 9% to 314.2 million dinars in the first half of the current year, compared to 288.6 million dinars at the end of June 2006.

Income from banking operations grew by 23.2% to 680.8 million dinars, mainly due to a sharp increase in interest income by 102 million dinars or 24.8% to 511 million dinars, compared with 409 million dinars at the end of June 2022.

General operating expenses decreased by 3.2% to 47.4 million dinars, while personnel expenses increased by 13.8% to 78 million dinars compared to 68.6 million dinars in the previous year.

Customer deposits amounted to 8,892 million dinars at the end of June, compared to 8,494 million dinars at the end of June 2002, up 4.7%, while customer loans outstanding amounted to 10,576 million dinars, compared to 10,189 million dinars at the end of June 2002, an increase of 3.8%.

Loans and special funds increased by 1% to 1,492 million dinars, compared with 1,477 million dinars at the end of June 2002.

Commissions received by the Bank increased by 8.3 million dinars, or 13.3%, to 70.3 million dinars, compared with 62 million dinars at the end of June 2012.
