Tunisia: budget deficit to be cut to 4.9%, indebtedness to less than 70% in 2019

The government will work to reduce the budget deficit from 4.9% in 2018 to 3.9% in the next year 2019 and to reduce the debt ratio to less than 70%, Finance Minister Ridha Chalghoum told ExpresFM.

On another level, the minister said the debt service will be 9,000 MD in 2019 against 5,100 MD in 2016 and that 2,100 MD will be earmarked to the subsidy of hydrocarbons and 1800MD for the commodity subsidy during the same year.
