The price of gold recently reached 520 dinars per gram, according to Taher Ghorbel, president of the Regional Chamber of Jewelers in Sfax.
He told Diwan FM that currently, the price of a gram of gold ranges between 460 and 470 dinars, depending on its quality.
Ghorbel indicated that gold prices are expected to rise further, potentially reaching 550 dinars per gram, adding that the war with Iran has caused fluctuations in the gold market.
The president of the Sfax Jewelers’ Chamber also expects an increase in demand for jewelers starting next week.
