Tunisia inks 3 cooperation agreements with Niger, Burkina Faso and Senegal

Three agreements with Niger, Burkina Faso and Senegal were inked on Wednesday to design a vision on the bilateral scientific, technological and economic co-operation in the agriculture and rural development fields.

These agreements aim to reinforce agricultural research and training, manage irrigation water resources and natural resources and process and develop agricultural products.

They also seek to boost production and food safety and promote organic agriculture.

The agreements were signed in the margins of the International Exhibition of Agriculture, Agricultural Machinery and Fisheries (SIAMAP 2019), held on September 24-29 at the Kram Exhibition Centre and at a working session held by Agriculture Minister Samir Taieb with several African ministers, secretaries of State and ambassadors.
