Smuggling generates a huge shortfall to the state of the order of 1,200 million Tunisian dinars (MTD), Trade Minister Mohsen Hassan said during his intervention, Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the meeting of the national committee on monitoring prices and fight against the black market.
He, in the same context, announced that 50% of fruit and vegetables circulate outside the legal system, calling for the establishment of a free zone in Ben Guerdane as a solution to combat smuggling at the Libyan borders.
